On the Stralau peninsula, the banks of the Spree are full of people, you can't get through by bike. Enjoy the sun's rays with a beer in hand and feet in the water. Heaven and people are on their way and the mood is exuberant. You wonder if everyone lives here with the horrendous rental prices. Certainly no simple “working people” live here like the glass workers and fishermen used to live. And there were once great philosophers here too - a memorial commemorates Karl Marx, the critic of capitalism, just a few meters from the busy bank. As a child, were you also impressed by his Santa Claus beard? There is a touch of nostalgia in the air, but only for a short moment, then it goes on, enjoying the sun.
